I'm wanting to get a set of skid plates. I actually ordered an aftermarket set last month but had to send them back. Were not even close to fitting. Complete NIGHTMARE experience. I will not bash the company or name them. I'm not sold on the kawasaki skid plates for the best protection. Could really use some input from y'all with skid plates.

Here is my thread on Tusk skid plates.

Tusk Skid Plates
The problem I had with the other company skid plates that ended up returning, they were not cut or bent correctly. Spent 3 hours with a floor jack trying to bend the skids. But there is no way you're going to bend this stuff. They tried to say I needed to heat them up to fit. I was pissed. Even the holes didn't line up. I don't want the kawasaki skids because they do not cover enough. But then I don't want the headache of going through the nightmare again!

There is no videos on the trail armor KRX skid plates but a very detailed video of the tusk plates. Ones I had to return to another company also had no videos. Thinking Tusk plates are the way to go. Company actually took the time to sell a video with the product. And no I'm not stupid and don't really need a video. But some of the instructions are a complete joke.

Y’all really need to listen.. trail armor 1/2” skids are the way to go. They install easy and the directions are clear. 3/8’s vs 1/2 may not sound like much. But it is! The design of a plate coming up the sides further keeps that plate from deflecting as much and that means less crossmembers bowing up. They’re well worth the $200 more. Use code “thank you” for 10% off. And while you’re at it get the trailing arm guards so you’re shipping it all together. Their warranty is awesome and their product is top notch. I can promise you, you will not need a video to install these.
I'm just a bit gun shy at spending this money from the fiasco I went through. If they are worth it and for great I don't care about the price. I have a 30k machine that I want to protect. I know the kawasaki ones will fit but the coverage sucks what you pay for.

I get it.. that’s why I’m telling you trail armor. Everything lines up and is easy. I don’t really give a shit what you buy. But if you want an easy install with the best protection you can get right now, then buy the Trail Armor! I literally had mine on in 30-45 minutes.
Definitely appreciate your input. I sent them an email and waiting on an answer back. I'm sold. One other question is if they fit with the kawasaki nerf bars?

I will suggest this... ask them to pitch a piece of scrap in the box so you can make one of these little bash plates. I added this after I lost the front plate due to the spring sag and catching a rock in a mud hole just right to contact that blunt leading edge of the front bottom plate. They sent me a new one and I used a piece of scrap uhmw I had to make this little front 45. They don’t extend them up due to the variation in bumpers. So, do yourself a favor and add one of these if you’re not running a bumper that prohibits it. View attachment 2431
Got it! Waiting on the reply. I do have the kawasaki bumpers and guards.

I like those. I want some I just have to swallow the expense after all the other stuff I’ve bought. You’ll love the 50 cal harnesses. What is your youtube channel name? Where do you find the discount code?
My YouTube is just under my name Tim Hawkins. I added the video. I only have 14 subscribers 😆
Well worth the money spent. The discount code is "Thank You" helps little with the price. But these skids are super easy to install and fit great with more coverage than the Kawasaki skids.

Oh, well then we’ve talked on youtube. Lol. I recognize the name now from talking to you on my walk around video. They definitely look high quality.
Yes your video made me spend money 🤣 I'm glad I seen your video before I bought the harnesses. Was going with the dragonfire but the 50 cal are just a little bit better. Plus they come in blue! Tried buying the seat riser but he does not ship to Nevada 🤷‍♂️ Got the dragonfire mounting kit and right coast 5th point mount going in today after the Aleve kicks in.
I'll do a walk around video when I get it done.

Here is another option. A little pricey but it not only raises the seat and places it 2” back, it provides a flip up option.
That looks like a really cool kit! Definitely going to save this company for when my bank account settles down 😆 Thank you! I actually sit pretty comfortable with the stock position of the seat but every little bit will help. I like the flip up feature. Going to see a lot more stuff coming out. Think the KRX is turning a lot of heads!

Trail Armor skids finally showed up today. I had to chuckle when the box of skid plates said “do not open with blade” on it. Lol. I hope to install them tomorrow or Saturday
Awesome! You'll need about 2hrs. Did them myself. First piece is awkward but then easy going after.
