Are you using the super atv winch plate? That's the same issue I had....had to split the winch to get it in there (don't recommend). The KFI brand winch plate is a little shorter and allows the clearance required.

I used the super atv plate and didn’t have issues…I did have to kinda rotate the winch as I slid it into place.

 

Same here. Real tight and mounted, slightly touches diff. A little rotation and it will fit. 😎

 

I tried every which angle on mine, wouldn't budge. All about the angle of the dangle I guess. So you might have some luck getting it before your patience runs out.

Badlands 5000 and KFI mount is a proven system.

 

Yep have Badlands on my Teryx4 easy install and worked when needed.

 

Rotate it. Its tight, but it'll fit. You can also unbolt the diff and move it a smidge. There are some tolerances that get played with right there, and moving the diff a tiny bit will get it in easy.

 

Thanks SuperATV I had the same thought but wanted to see if anyone with more knowledge had the same idea. Winch is in now need to do the easy part wiring.
Does anyone know the torque settings for the front differential bolts?

 

Thanks to SuperATV suggesting the loosen the front diff bolts the winch slide right in. There is little if no clearance to the rope spool from the diff bolt but the spool turns freely. Will see when I get it wired up.

 

That is tight! I’m going to have to go check mine.

mines not quite as tight as that but close.

 

Ya, wish that part of the Kawi engineering was payed a bit more attention to. Not only have to be concerned with mounting depth/clearance, but also total width so the a-arms dont hit at droop. I have the BlackOps 4500 and KFI mount (per suggestions of everyone in here) and had no issues mounting.
