Skid plates

I will suggest this... ask them to pitch a piece of scrap in the box so you can make one of these little bash plates. I added this after I lost the front plate due to the spring sag and catching a rock in a mud hole just right to contact that blunt leading edge of the front bottom plate. They sent me a new one and I used a piece of scrap uhmw I had to make this little front 45. They don’t extend them up due to the variation in bumpers. So, do yourself a favor and add one of these if you’re not running a bumper that prohibits it.

I'm just a bit gun shy at spending this money from the fiasco I went through. If they are worth it and for great I don't care about the price. I have a 30k machine that I want to protect. I know the kawasaki ones will fit but the coverage sucks what you pay for.
I get it.. that’s why I’m telling you trail armor. Everything lines up and is easy. I don’t really give a shit what you buy. But if you want an easy install with the best protection you can get right now, then buy the Trail Armor! I literally had mine on in 30-45 minutes.

Y’all really need to listen.. trail armor 1/2” skids are the way to go. They install easy and the directions are clear. 3/8’s vs 1/2 may not sound like much. But it is! The design of a plate coming up the sides further keeps that plate from deflecting as much and that means less crossmembers bowing up. They’re well worth the $200 more. Use code “thank you” for 10% off. And while you’re at it get the trailing arm guards so you’re shipping it all together. Their warranty is awesome and their product is top notch. I can promise you, you will not need a video to install these.

JTW, thanks for all the info on TA. Looked at those for my Talon but ended up with Factory UTV for various reasons.

I have been toying with the idea of spraying the underside, wheel wells, and trailing arms in bed liner to help with sound and prevent rock chips in the metal. Or rust from parts rubbing.

Do you see any reason that would pose a problem with the TA install?
I wouldn’t do the bottom of the trailing arms or skids I’d just use the trailing arm skids and skid plates. But other wise that should work fine in the wheel wells and is a good idea for them.

You need to get yourself some a-arm guards. Even the Kawasaki guards are better than nothing. Pulled mine off before it went in for the a-arm/knuckle upgrade, and the a-arms still looked like new. The guards are showing some wear which is exactly why I run them. One of these days I'll upgrade them to a UHMW guard to provide more than just scratch and small dent protection. :)

I’ve had them on past machines.. I’m not a big fan. They hold mud and can cause snow pack and ice to wear holes in boots. I’m actually going to order some uhmw tube to slit and go over the a arm tubing to help absorb some impact.

Also, I’m up there in clearance, so I don’t hit too much.
