I think they made a great unit then said, how can we maximize the profit. No rubber shifter/brake covers? What engineer said that wasn't necessary over coolant lines or did the actuarial staff, say we can leave that off and save $.39 per unit (or much less). Model A has them. Do you think they did heat, sound and vibration analysis? Just get it on the showroom floor they'll consume it.
Let them fix it themselves and give higher level aftermarket shops a bone for helping develop the product. Look how everyone has to replace the suspension components on their x3. How many toe link supports should customers have to install until the manufacturer makes a change, all of them at 200 miles. They sale all they can produce. No need to fix and our partners do testing for us.
Simple poor quality steel and/or faster production practices. I never had to touch my bandits after installation.

Bandits work great..actually have to dial down preload on the stage 3's. 32" KM3's are a giant improvement over stock tires for desert riding. Machine scales in at just under 2900 pounds with 2 adults and all gear. 2490 as you see it.
That's what I found with my Bandit stage 3, I would like to try stage 2- 18 clicks out front and 20 rear. Add mud out east and >3k easy.
