Hey Marino. I have a super atv 4500lbs winch it works great, pulled a Jeep buried to his axles out of a mud hole with it yesterday.

Right on on Rob! Thanks for the info. I am concerned about the A-arms hitting the which.

I just purchased the Kawasaki winch mount, and the warn vrx45-s, haven’t had time to get it installed yet. But should get it in this weekend, if you would want a idea on its clearance I can shoot you some pics
Went with Kawi mount and 45-s also. Little more money but proven and fit well.

I'm in the same situation. Looks like a VRX45S will fit, I was even condisering an AXON45S which is marginally deeper and wider than the VRX.

Better do some research on the AXON to be sure it will fit. I think I read somewhere that it didn't really fit the KRX. Just a heads up.

Most definitely! I don't want to spend money twice!!! I'm on Warns site checking over the dimensions.

I was wondering have you mounted your winch yet?

No, I haven't purchased it yet.
I’m running the Warn AXON 45 on mine, but I had to redrill and offset the mount 1/2in to one side to get it to barely clear. I also run limit straps on front shocks too just incase. The problem is the clearance between upper A-arms and top of winch at full droop.

If I had to do it over again, I would’ve ordered the AXON 45RC because I think it would bolt right in the KRX without issues. I do like the simplicity of wiring on the Warn AXON series winches.

What's the max length on the RC, 25 feet?
27ft on the AXON RC. My AXON 45 says 50ft but I don’t believe it. I haven’t measured it yet but have pulled the full cable multiple times and don’t think it’s 50ft.

I guess it really doesn't matter how many feet the drum holds as long as you have extension ropes. Thanks for the suggestion.

Just ordered the 45 RC.
I think that’s the right choice. You shouldn’t have trouble. That style winch is easy to wire and Kawi makes routing the wires easy too.

I backed out before it shipped after seeing Warns short bumper mount for the KRX last evening. It's a little pricey ( I got it for 350) but it takes any question of fitment out of the equation. I'm pulling my Extreme side by side winch mount off and the Kawi sport bumper. I like the option of having the longer line as well.

Pics of the WARN bumper and Axon 4500.
Got the cover off Ebay. Not specifically meant for the winch but works in a pinch. The factory harness loom was utilized for the power cables. I drilled a hole through the firewall up high to run the remote and switch harness into the cab. Had to extend the red 22g switched power wire with the fuse, other than that, a simple bolt up operation. Used a pair of cable clamps, and zip ties to keep everything snug.

I installed the KFI winch mount and this winch; it fit perfectly and was easy to install. It works great for a cheapo.
