I have the Kawasaki one and it doesnt cover the tie downs at all. I think I’m going to upgrade to the one with the storage door.I like it. The plastic kawi. models look like they cover the 2 back tie downs. I want to be able to access them. leaning towards the super atv also.
That's a pretty good looking piece as well.Tusk cargo barricade.
We went that route too. Couldn't get the threaded rods to catch without doing some mods. Rod retainer circlips fell off pretty much immediately. Its not a bad unit looks wise. From a functionality standpoint it is not really doing it for me. Taking the loss and doing the Tusk extender.I have the plastic tailgate. I actually got it for $140 because the Kawasaki brochure had a typo on it. I’m sure there are still some out there. Dealer honored. The only complaint was the hardware kit. Super poor design and quality. Otherwise it looks super nice. View attachment 2384
Yep for me it was the adaptor bolts. The design was flawed making them to easily snap. Kawi sent me a set free of charge. New design is much better. The clips I didn’t bother installing. We went that route too. Couldn't get the threaded rods to catch without doing some mods. Rod retainer circlips fell off pretty much immediately. What did they change? I have the trunk, and snapped one of those stupid bolts very easily, so I came up with a work around. Just curious how they made it better.New design is much better.
So the adaptor bolt is now solid all the way through. More “heavy duty” so to speak. Mine were hollow. It didn’t take much torque to snap them. What did they change? Email Kawasaki and they will send you a set for free. There is no part number for them. Dealerships cannot order.Mine are hollow too.
