Steering Knuckle Update

My dealer just called me and Kawasaki is starting to ship the new Knuckles for our 2020 machines. They are fixing the broken ones first which makes since. We will get a new Knuckle and lower A arm. He will get new bushings and some other small parts that are needed for installation so that when the Knuckles and A arm come in he is ready to go.

Definitely makes sense to service broken once first, but I rather not have my machine stuck deep into the woods and working on mine to be replaced. My dealer wasn't getting answers, so I emailed Kawi and they had my dealer call me saying to bring the machine to look at.... I said there's nothing to look at, its an issue that has been addressed on newer 2020/2021's and would like my changed out before something bad happens. The dealers exact words were, don't panic we'll look into it and try and find the replace parts. To be continued!
When I first called the dealer about it they didn't know anything about it. I explained how the knuckles hit the a arms and left a gouge. He checked there machine with 700 miles and had the same problem. He called Kawasaki and they told him to send pictures of the gouges. He called me back and I sent him the pictures. Kawasaki said he could then order the parts. That is probably why he wanted to see your machine. I have the same thoughts as you about having to fix it in the field. I ride in some pretty remote areas.
Good news. Last email I got from Kawasaki said they were coming. Hopefully not too many broken in my area and I can get them done

Make sure to call your local dealer as they are completely clueless

Do you happen to know those part numbers to the new knuckles?

I don't know the numbers but the dealer should be able to look it up.
Anyone get the parts swapped out yet? Just called Ka wasabi 8/14 and was put on this list.
I just called today and was put on list and was told probably 3 to 4 weeks out
I received now the 3rd email and it’s pretty much a recap of what they’re doing. Make sure you get a log number to give to the dealer. Dealers are completely clueless. On another note kawi has been sending me a ton of surveys. Must really like my HONEST feedback.
Can someone post pics of this damage? Im not seeing anything on mine but would like to know exactly where to look on the knuckle. Thanks

I hammered the survey too but they don't seem to be asking for my opinion any more! LOL! I let them know If there going call KRX a sport side by side. It should have the power so when you turn it on It needs to return the favor!

I think I’m on my 5th or so survey. I got a call from them too and had an extensive talk. Can’t say they put anything into action. I know they are trying to get the parts out to dealers but when they want my feedback I’m gonna be honest. If it were up to me this machine should have Had a turbo with a motorcycle engine and a proper 6 speed transmission. That in itself would satisfy a lot of people. And the complaints would be minimal.

I'll pass on the 6 speed, rode 110 miles in a Talon, that transmission clunk on the downshift got on my last nerve by the end. I'll take a CVT/belt any day. In fact I did, got our KRX last week after riding in the Honda and considering the 6 speed in a Yamaha.
I just noticed that I have the issue as well. Back side of both lower a arms
I just received an email from Kawasaki customer service. Seems I am to contact my dealer to make arrangements to get the updated steering yoke and a arms installed.
I received the same email today. I'll call my dealer tomorrow to get things started, my krx goes in next week for something else
