I have hit the bottom of the electrical system but I was running a crazy amount of power. Headlights started flickering. Shut a couple accessories off and it was all back to normal pretty quick.

Bumping an old thread , good info. I'm thinking about getting an alternator now that I have the factory heater , and the fan motor of it slows down at idle with reduced voltage.....
Still running all good here. Added more accessories and handles them like a champ. Occasionally I might get a flicker here and there after a few hours of riding. But I just shut something off for 20-30 minutes to allow it to charge back up and I’m good to go.

I got a great deal on an alternator kit but was missing the alternator. Still have to figure that out one day.

I was running 800 watts of audio power (actually a 1200 watt amplifier but you never use it all)
, plus lights, wipers, heater, and never had any issues with the factory stator... I have a new alternator kit setting here that I never installed.
current draw is not constant and as long as the stator keeps the battery charged you will be fine..

So I should have no problem with a rear chase light bar, an S&B particle separator (2.4 amps), a Rugged helmet fresh air unit (3.4 amps), and headlights? I'd like to eventually add more light for the front also

I just got one of these and will be adding it to the dash, as with stereo/lightbar/whips I'm in the negative amperage
running the stock stator.
