I know who RWD is and that's why I expected much better from them. But thanks for the copy pasta... I'm not your average uninformed SxS owner that thinks what was out there racing and what Kawasaki is going to offer to the public is anywhere near the same thing. The lower front shock location alone tells me everything I need to know about how custom the chassis and suspension is. I've been around desert racing, short course racing and U4 long enough to know what a car that isn't dialed in looks like and that RWD car was one of those. It's not a good look for RWD or Kawasaki showing up to race hyping up a new SxS and then have it DNF in short order. Races are won and lost in the garage and they didn't do their homework. Instead of taking an untested car to a race they should have skipped it and went testing instead. Much less embarrassment for all involved doing things right the first time instead of having to have random people on the internet stand up for the obvious failures that were obvious.

And about the front lower shock location on the race car... If Kawasaki is trying to play with the big boys in desert racing why are they still mounting the shocks to the upper arms and not the lowers like the race car has? I've driven short course cars that were converted to lower front arm shock mount location and the handling difference is so night and day that it's not even funny.

Companies like Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha will always be behind in the SxS game because not enough of their income is generated through sales of SxS's for them to take that market seriously. Can Am and Polaris do more R&D and product development on the SxS of things and it shows.

Wake me up when Kawasaki starts beating Mav Rs and Pro Rs consistently in open classes. Until then they are just also rans competing in a lower class for participation trophy's. McGrath won the stock N/A class race at KOH this year. How much press coverage did he get vs Hedger winning overall in a Pro R factory race car? About almost none in case you were wondering...

I love my KRX and bought it because it was by far the best tool for the job for my intended use as a hard core rock crawler/trail rig and don't regret a second of it, but I also know I didn't buy a race car in disguise.
Ding, Ding, Ding!! We have a winner!

Bro- because of the knowledge
Bruh- because someone finally said it.

What was "finally said"? May have to explain to us not-cool folks. The shock thing?

I think everyone understands a brand new race car is going to have unforeseen issues and is unlikely to be competitive. No ones fault, just how it is. No doubt that is a great race team notwithstanding.

That's bullshit and also the excuse people who show up unprepared use when they fail. Here are some examples of brand new racecars that not only finished the first race they ever ran, but also did very well in those races.....

Jamie @ Raceco brought a brand new built Talon race car to the 1000 and cleaned house with it a few years ago...

Hedger winning KOH in 4900 unlimited class in a Pro R it's first time ever competing...

Kyle Chaney winning 4400 in not only a brand new designed car, but with a UTV that on paper shouldn't even be able to compete in that class...

I'm sure I can think of more if needed. 😁

Good deal bruh. I sure hope you can go on their payroll soon so they can be awesome too.

Ill be there first one to admit that I'm an asshole and my wife/friends will tell you the same thing. I'm also observant and call it like it is without the sugar coating. Some people are offended by that. Not my problem though.

OK, I get that. I validate you.. Must be extra awesome to have done well with a Honda Talon, the one sport sxs with inherently bad, unfixable, suspension geometry.
The Talon R model actually has a very good suspension design but Honda screwed it up completely with their stock shock valving and spring selection. Once the shocks and spring issues are fixed it's a very competitive platform and handles amazing.

Don't believe everything ST says.

My car jumps flat, corners flat and out handles the competition regularly.

It also handles better on 3 good tires than my buddy's YXZ does on 4 good tires. I ran 2 laps with the flat tire and he still couldn't get around me for the win. 🤣
