What exactly is a "kawasaki affiliate employee"?

I work at a dealership and know everything once Kawasaki goes public. I was highly critical of the Ridge, coining the phrase, "Peak Premium Disappointment". But I have no reason to temper expectation of the new Teryx H2 so far. Why do you?
It was only a disappointment to you power hungry dreamers. lol The Ridge is actually a great machine and a great option for the Ranger, and even Commander/General crowd. If I was still out on the farm, I would likely have one in the barn.

These photos were captured in Glamis by a passing motorist of what appears to be the new Boosted Kawasaki UTV, I won't call it a KRX because I believe it's a completely different platform and the current KRX isn't going anywhere.
It looks like in one photo a UTV with a camera boom so would assume they are shooting a promo video, the graphics on the door also say H2 leading me to believe it will actually have the supercharged 4 cylinder H2 motor putting out over 200 hp and capable of much more.
Looks like we may finally get what many have been wanting, a boosted machine comparable to the Pro R and Maverick R however for a lot of us KRX owners it may be a hard pill to swallow, this will be a $40k + machine while you can purchase a new KRX for less than $20k, 2 very different machines for different riding styles and this is not going to be a KRX replacement, for trail riders and rock crawlers the KRX will still be King especially at the price point but if you are a speed junkie this is exciting news.....
One thing for sure I'm going to do my best to have one (if I can swing it) gotta have one for testing purposes :) even if it doesn't have a CVT (which I hope it doesn't) I'll come up with something for it so I can justify it as a business purchase.. LOL :p

It's a beautiful machine. It'll be the one to beat. With a 1000+ cc SC motor, Japanese /Kawasaki quality and a machine you can drive off the show room floor without having to drop an extra 5k to upgrade suspect components like you do on Polscareus and Can't Am it will be the machine everyone wants. When the two seater comes out it will dominate. đź’Ż

Your kidding - right?
The Kawi H2 will have the highest HP output of any stock UTV off the showroom floor.
More surprises to come.

"Things just got a bit interesting! A KRX with a prototype Supercharged 999cc inline 4-cylinder H2 will be racing The Mint 400.
We will be at Tech & Contingency tomorrow in Las Vegas and hope to get more detailed pictures/video.

WD Racing Kawasaki will be a part of Kawasaki’s continued supercharged engine development with a new 999cc in-line 4 supercharged side x side engine as part of Project H2. Carson Wernimont and co-driver Brady Kelly will line up for qualifying on Thursday, March 6th in Primm, NV to debut their new UTV Pro Open race machine with their sights set on the podium of The Mint 400 on Friday, March 7th

We’ve spent countless hours working on this new Kawasaki race car and are ready to line up at The Mint 400. This race has so much history and it would be awesome to stand on the podium here. We’ve tested in our development and now we are ready for the ultimate test of racing.”

Carson did not finish in the top ten. Polaris took top 6.

Certainly not the factory support debut Kawasaki hoped for. But at least they are trying, unlike Honda and Yamaha.

Canada is doing good at utvs, eh?

He must have DNF'd pretty quick since he's not mentioned anywhere in the write-ups...

Just because it makes 300hp that doesn't mean it's automatically going to win or run up front. A huge part of being successful in desert racing is suspension and shock tuning. Without those, all the horsepower in the world is useless.

The video I saw of that car going around the short course screamed slow, heavy and horrible suspension tuning.

For starters, the stock H2 four-seater will not be making 300 HP—it’s more like 250 to 270 HP. You’re correct that horsepower alone doesn’t win races, nor does suspension or the driver alone. Success comes from the right combination of many factors.

I know who RWD is and that's why I expected much better from them. But thanks for the copy pasta... I'm not your average uninformed SxS owner that thinks what was out there racing and what Kawasaki is going to offer to the public is anywhere near the same thing. The lower front shock location alone tells me everything I need to know about how custom the chassis and suspension is. I've been around desert racing, short course racing and U4 long enough to know what a car that isn't dialed in looks like and that RWD car was one of those. It's not a good look for RWD or Kawasaki showing up to race hyping up a new SxS and then have it DNF in short order. Races are won and lost in the garage and they didn't do their homework. Instead of taking an untested car to a race they should have skipped it and went testing instead. Much less embarrassment for all involved doing things right the first time instead of having to have random people on the internet stand up for the obvious failures that were obvious.

And about the front lower shock location on the race car... If Kawasaki is trying to play with the big boys in desert racing why are they still mounting the shocks to the upper arms and not the lowers like the race car has? I've driven short course cars that were converted to lower front arm shock mount location and the handling difference is so night and day that it's not even funny.

Companies like Honda, Kawasaki and Yamaha will always be behind in the SxS game because not enough of their income is generated through sales of SxS's for them to take that market seriously. Can Am and Polaris do more R&D and product development on the SxS of things and it shows.

Wake me up when Kawasaki starts beating Mav Rs and Pro Rs consistently in open classes. Until then they are just also rans competing in a lower class for participation trophy's. McGrath won the stock N/A class race at KOH this year. How much press coverage did he get vs Hedger winning overall in a Pro R factory race car? About almost none in case you were wondering...

I love my KRX and bought it because it was by far the best tool for the job for my intended use as a hard core rock crawler/trail rig and don't regret a second of it, but I also know I didn't buy a race car in disguise.
