Steve Cornell sells the brackets for the dash just bought one from him
Got a link or pics
FYI. When you order the Rugged Radios "KRX Package", this is the fitment for the radio. The photos they show makes it appear to be flush against the mount. It is not.

here's mine - I tried to use one of those plastic ones that fit inside the cutout - but you will need to cut out the rear of the storage compartment if you do......I ran my headsets to the rear to keep the cords behind our shoulders - i dont like things in my way:) works well - ive taken it off 5 times to add accessories - still works fine.

mine fits quite a bit deeper then that - but its last years radio.......i would call them or file that so its more open........can you go the other direction with it ? from inside going out?
This is a new radio. The one they were providing in the package previously is no longer available.

Thanks for posting the pics! Did you get a recall on the Kawasaki harness system? Wondering what they determined the problem to be.

I didnt get a recall notice - these are about 6 weeks old - when did you get a notice? - I prob need to dig into that - thnx......
No worries. I just ordered one and then got a notice that the dealer could not sell them due to a recall. They did not elaborate on what the issue is.
Finally received the rugged com set after waiting near 2 months for it and they wanted it back the day I picked it up for a update.. but wanted to see what channels they took away, what if any issue I could spot and get the mount straightened out first.. This new radio does not fit very good in the hole they claim its suppose to.. Im told that the update has to do with having two different presets on A and B and switching between.. that part seems to work but did notice the auto search when on A will pick up incoming calls from B .. if that makes any sense.. Now with channel presets that Rugged is taking away in an attempt to police us...we may have to go back to figuring out what number to dial in to get a clear channel.. PCI may have been a better choice..
I’m in the same boat. I ordered my system, waited two months to receive the radio, the still didn’t ship the antenna. After all that, the sheet metal mount looks like crap and radio doesn’t fit it. I’m going to return my system. Rugged Radios really let me down on this experience. I was so excited too.

Finished the Rugged Install. I was going to return the system as well but everything was out of the box, the antenna had already been installed, and the mount was already ground down to actually fit.

My KRX has 90 miles, waiting on my head sets, antenna and cable before use. FYI studying for my HAM Tech. license.

had to cut the back out of that storage box but I didn’t care. Both sit flush and are locked in. Ran the connectors for headsets to the console between riders and mounted with a billet plate there. Use the dummy plugs when not riding to keep moisture out. Using ultimate carbon headsets and wondering if I should have done the alpha bass.

Not needed in noisy environment for my needs. You're install is great.
Still waiting on my antenna cord extension and head sets, for my Rugged Radio and Com. On a positive note I passed by Ham Technician test yesterday, now studying for my General License.

I have been a HAM for 20 years now. It change my whole life for the better. I went from 20 years in automotive in Michigan to Disaster Management with FEMA to owning my own Disaster consulting firm in Houston TX and New Orleans La. Ham Radio open a lot of doors for me.
