Much like owning a boat an saying you never ran aground, it's not if ya will but when ya will.
@ Gulches ORV Park today I had the displeasure of having an insufficient angle of inclination going down a hill.
Ya. Laid it on the starboard side with the belly just beyond vertical.
Key off as soon as it touched.
Son climbed thru front, no windshield yet.
Dude on a CanAm Maverick ran up to assist - Thankx Bud!
Winched back to proper attitude within 5 minutes of laying over.
Still on steep decline & oil window was Full out of sight.
Waited 5-7 minutes before start attempt.
No joy.
Waited another 5 minutes.
Started up.
(and got thru this without a single pic getting shot, so... it never happened!)
Question to ya'll:
-Has there been any investigation on proper time to allow oil to settle back after laying over or full barrel rolls?
End of day back on level ground, the oil level was exactly where it was @ the start of the day.
No damage!
