Does anyone know of a way to mount rear speaker pods with a rear window. My KRX came with the Hifonic rear pods. Once I installed the Kawasaki OEM soft rear window I could no longer use them so I removed them. I want to use these speakers and was going to install them on the rear bars that go down the sides but the mounts are not adjustable so I can turn them. They can only be used on a cross bar.

According to the Kawasaki Accessory Catalog, the rear speaker pods are compatible with the Soft Rear Panel 99994-1297 and also with the KQR Rear Panel Polycarbonate 99994-1294 but are NOT compatible with the Click 6 harness's.

Yea I saw that but I have the 6 point harnesses so I'm screwed on those. Today I tried every possible angle up and down but there just too deep. It's a shame they don't make the mounting brackets adjustable.

Yea I guess I could I just was hoping for something bolt on. I've been looking up swivel speaker pods but there's not much of a selection and the Rockville ones only go down to a 2" bar. If I measured correctly that cross bar near the roof is only 1.5"

here is a pic of the speaker mounted with the OEM hard coated panel.. also can see how I mounted the harness.. not the best picture but you get the idea. The rubber mounts for the panel come in the speaker set box and not the easies to keep the inside rubber in place

That's exactly what I was looking for. I have the deep oval pods that can't really be mounted anywhere but on that center crossbar. Do you know what part number yours are?
KRX65-RP is the speaker item # and yea there kinda pricy but what isn't now.. trying to rig something up to fit just wasn't worth the trouble and decided to go with the factory speakers.. they have a good sound quality and will pack a punch with no distortion or vibration.. I have those along with a set of kickers in the door on a separate amp that I mounted to the back firewall behind the drivers seat..
maybe you can use the speakers in the pod elsewhere.. The guys at Crutchfield really helped out to match up what ohm speakers work with what..

I couldn’t tell what they were because the pic was a little dark. Is that why you were able to use them with those additional brackets? In stock form they won’t work with the 6 point harnesses.

why don't you send us a picture of the back of your cab.. If you have a harness bar installed the Hifonics speakers will not have room to fit.. if you want to mount hifonics speakers take out the harness bar mount the hifonics speakers then either bolt lifting eyes in with harness snaps, purchase the dragon fire harness bar or modify the bar so it clears the hifonics speaker.. Sounds like you have some boat bullet pod speaker that clamps on a roll cage and I would not have a good idea of what to do with them. But can tell you I would keep the rear window before I would the boat speakers.. Maybe another option If you must keep the boat speakers is to go to an upholstery shop and have a custom rear snap in back window. The clear vinyl material 20 or 30ga sells for around $12 a yard so with some 1 1/2" webbing, hh-66 glue some tarp eyelets and reusable zip strips you could make your own similar to this that I made to keep the mud and rain off my gear in the winter..

That fast back look is awesome. Yes I do have the bar you are talking about. I’m at work until 7p so can’t take pics now. It sucks because those speakers are expensive but I might have to do exactly what you did with the additional brackets and Ibolts. I also thought about empty speaker pods with swivel mounts. I could mount them on the bars going down the back but right behind the rear window.

How deep are you into this sound system you have and what is the goal here? Personally I like my tunes on occasion.. and hate it tinny or rattling.. when I turn it on it needs to return the favor! "Gotta hear more Cow Bell" ya know what I mean? This can take a little work and research so everything matches up. I had a Audio formz roof on my Maverick and loved it.. would have done it on my Krx if I hadn't of got a roof with one of the package's.. The factory stereo option is turn key and a nice fit.. I didn't like giving up my dash for it though and like it overhead. There are several aftermarket options out there that you can get a very nice sound system without turning your krx into an overpriced rolling Boom Box! The other thing to consider is the elements... your going to have dust, dirt, and mud in and on the system and your going to have to wash it down..
If you're putting on a rear window to limit the dust in the cab.. that's a whole other issue, adding a rear window by itself will only partly resolve it. That along with fender flairs, mud flaps, insulation on the floor and console, and vented front glass.. that combo will clean up your cab.

I have the stock premium sound system with the subwoofer, I believe the previous owner had the rear bar pods installed at the dealer after the fact but he didn’t have any intention of adding a rear window. It sounds great that’s why I was trying to keep it as is. I have the wide fender flares and the front and rear windows installed. Also have side windows but haven’t used them yet. None of the other options you mentioned as of yet.

Here are some pics if what I have.
great I see now.. so the amp must be over the engine? so you have the factory Hifonics stereo with the sub over the engine and speakers in the doors? Just a thought can you relocate those bullet speakers behind the seat facing each other with a different mount system other than a bar mount?
