Ever since my machine was new, engine has a rattle noise until it gets warmed up. Dealer said it was normal. Almost like a heat shield rattle inside it engine. My needle stethoscope can't exactly pinpoint the location. Is it just the pulse of exhaust going through the manifold?

i run into this all the time on the new cars/trucks. if the Kawasaki engine is anything like automotive engines, they have gone to a short piston skirt design to cut weight inside the engine. the trade off with this is "piston slap" when cold. what happens is the short piston skirts allow the piston to rock slightly when cold on the ignition stroke because it's ever so slightly loose in the bore of the cylinder, once warmed up the piston expands and the noise goes away. no there is nothing wrong with the engine whatsoever, and if you give the engine a minute to warm up at idle before you hammer down there should never be an issue.

FWIW: mine does it too for the first minute or two depending on how cold it is.
