It’s an electric power steering unit.. you over heat the motor or low voltage just sometimes screws with them.
Ehhhhhh, maybe. I ride in AZ where temps in the summer climb over the 100 mark, and no problems there. I would think that motor is designed to handle those things. (But I could be wrong)

That’s why I’m waiting to here back from the OP as to WHEN this is happening. Is he rock crawling, 3 feet deep in mud, or just going to grandmas house for a visit?
