What kind of plow and mount did you use? This thing will move some serious snow. Makes it kinda fun. Just gotta finish my uppers to keep it warm and cozy.
Are you running oem winch and Mount? What plow mount and plow are you running? I want to to this in the future but need a cab enclosure and heater. I’m a baby in the cold lol. But I bet my dad would appreciate not having to come plow me out haha. This thing will move some serious snow. Makes it kinda fun. Just gotta finish my uppers to keep it warm and cozy.
KFI mount and poly plow with the wings. I had to drill new holes in the bottom of the mount. The ones they want you to use won’t work. Too close to the frame. No biggie but is an issue. What kind of plow and mount did you use?
Voodoo out of Utah.Who made the cage ?
Yeah it’s the OEM winch and mount with the KFI plow and mount. Are you running oem winch and Mount? What plow mount and plow are you running? In the above comment it says you had to drill new holes in the plow mount? Do you have any pics of the holes you had to drill? I really want a plow but don’t like the idea that I’ll have to drill my own holes. I’m not very mechanically inclined lol. With the factory cage and enclosure did it actually stay warm and defrosted inside? Do you plan on selling upper doors? Are they going to be hard? The guys at m3 off-road on YouTube made a set of lexan I believe he used and they looked really sweet, he needed to add a some sort of shock or something to help with opening but it fit really snug looking you should check it out if you haven’tYeah it’s the OEM winch and mount with the KFI plow and mount.
I’m building my door uppers now and already have the heater and wiper. It’s actually not too bad with the windshield and the heater. I wouldn’t want to do it all day but it’s not bad. I had the factory cage and enclosure before I swapped the cage. Was really nice.
Two of the holes that they say to use are in the skid plate under the front differential. They are too close to the chassis tubing so you can’t get a nut on them. I just drilled two new ones about an inch inward (towards the center of the skid plate). It took about 2 minutes. Very easy.In the above comment it says you had to drill new holes in the plow mount? Ok that doesn’t sound to bad I really want a plow. Couple people from either Kawasaki or whatever think I’m crazy for wanting to put a plow on it but it’s the biggest 2 seater they make and might be the heaviest out of any utv. So I’m thinking it should push some serious snow. Two of the holes that they say to use are in the skid plate under the front differential. Yeah the factory cab and heater keep it very warm. I did the cab seal kit also which covered the main cold air spot where the battery is. I sold my stuff to a buddy. You can’t beat the price from Kawasaki for the complete kit. I would say make sure you get the glass windshield not the plexi. Huge difference.
That looks really good actually. I worry about getting the doors and being stuck with them. What did you do about the holes in the top of the door when you took them off?Pics of the factory setup.
the area by the battery is the only spot that lets a lot of cold air in. Before I bought the seal kit I would just shove a towel down there while I was driving. It worked fine. I would look at Kawis instructions online and determine if it’s worth it to you. Maybe even YouTube. The holes is the door are no big deal. I don’t do anything with them when I don’t have uppers on. Again try YouTube there are a couple shops doing install videos that are pretty detailed.Ok that doesn’t sound to bad I really want a plow. Does it let a lot of cold air in if you don’t have the seal kit? I know I’ve been thinking about going aftermarket To save a little money but I worry about fit and function I like my stuff to look oem and I pay a lil more if it looks and works better
One other thing to remember is that you get a pretty good discount buying the whole winter package from Kawi. Heater, wiper, roof, glass windshield, rear plexi window and door uppers for like 2500.00. Not sure you could piece it together with oem quality for that price. I’ve probably had 10-15 SxS’s and the quality and the ease of installation on the Kawi is probably the best I’ve workedon. Just my .02Ok that doesn’t sound to bad I really want a plow. It’s 2800 for the whole cab package and if you bought it all individually it’d be 2853 so you only save like 53 bux by buying it all at once. I don’t have that kind of extra cash to buy it all at once I should’ve just had the dealer put it on and had it added to the loan but was trying to keep my payment as low as possible haha. Do you think the oem rear soft window would keep it warm with the heater or do you have to go with the rear polycarbonate? One other thing to remember is that you get a pretty good discount buying the whole winter package from Kawi.
