Looking for feedback from someone who's come from an XP 1000 non-turbo to a krx. Thoughts on power ,acceleration ,suspension? What do you miss/dont miss .
I have a 2018 XP 1000 and I'm looking to also get a krx due to its increased cockpit area.
We are east coast riders ,so lots of mud ,rock and wooded trails.
Probably spend 70% of the day in low.

I was on my way to buy a new xp after torpedoing the front diff on my 800. Stopped on a whim to look at the krx, needless to say I never made it to the polaris dealer. Bigger cab, more comfy seats, waaayyy better suspension and ground clearance out of the box, 35’s fit stock, better engine and trans, more goodies for the same money. Alao the krx is geared low enough that you rarely need low gear. Even with the 35’s i only use low when climbing or descending steep grades.

2018 XP1000...sold two months ago and bought the 21 Trail Edition KRX. Arizona riding...rock,dust and very little mud. KRX suspension FAR superior. My friend bought my rzr and yes I miss it in the flats-but when you hit trail or rock when you're not going over 25 anyway...KRX all day long. I'm 6'4 and the extra room feels great. Seats are better-ride is better-low end torque is amazing. But you can't go 80+ and you are going to feel some heat from the KRX motor in the cab that I did not feel in the rzr. Overall I would it again.

I have had five new RZRs between 2015 and 2020 from 50' Trail 900, 1000 S, and two 1000 XPs. My last was a 2020 XP 1000. I absolutely love the KRX. The ride and suspension is awesome. It has a roomy cabin. The components are very strong and overbuilt. Steering is light and it corners well. It's not the fastest off the line, but has plenty of power to lift the front end at 25 miles per hour. I have never wished I had more power. It tackled everything in Moab and climbs like a goat. It is an extremely easy machine to drive. I have never regretted the purchase.

Have you done any mods?
Yes. You have to replace the gas vent right away. I've added 4,500 pound winch, front bumper, sky roof top from Kawi, rock sliders, Kawi skid plate, also did the spring kit from Shock Therapy. That made a great ride even better and bullet proof in rough stuff. also did comfort stuff like front windshield, rear window, radio etc.
