Hello to everyone...new to the forum and looking forward to learning more about the KRX and meeting folks. Been off-roading with Windrock as a backyard for longer than I care to remember with motorcycles (every color except orange), jeeps, trucks and a few years ago and transitioned to SxS. RZR 900 XP then RZR XP 1000 Trails and Rocks...really liked the "Rock". Sold on a whim and thinking of going to a KRX Trails Packaged machine - then beef up bumpers and such. Trying to figure out why the trails edition has slightly less ground clearance than the standard issue KRX. At least according to Kawasaki page...head scratcher. Also looking forward to being able to kick up the power.

I have searched the web pretty good trying to find a comparison between the KRX and the Polaris TRE. No luck! Found plenty comparing the KRX to Talons and Turbos. We ride Windrock as well and very rarely ever get above 35mph. I am much more interested in what it is capable of from off idle to 25 than I am at 60-70! I know 32's will fit a stock TRE with not much loss of power. 35's will fit on the KRX but what is the loss compared to the TRE. I doubt you will see all the options to regear the KRX like you do the Polaris.

Hello and welcome to the forum.
It would be interesting to hear a comparison between the TRE and the KRX from an actual owner of both machines. Hopefully you pick up a KRX and can be "that" guy. My KRX is my first non-Polaris machine, and I love it. Totally different feel when you get on the throttle, but it works so much better when you get into the technical stuff.

Welcome neighbor.
I'll keep an eye out for that machine when I get back on the trails soon. Had mine in the shop for one way bearing replacement and moved to a new home locally during it being in the shop so the wife and I are past ready get out on the trails soon. Came very close to buying the trail edition myself but decided on green and did the protection package, premium roof, harnesses and tail box. Everything else aftermarket and too much to list in this post.

Thanks Dmac...probably more of neighbors than we know. I actually grew up and Dutch Valley with property and family still there and have been crossing over Walden's Ridge and riding Windrock for many years. Hope to connect with you to learn best path forward...like you, and after looking at it more closely, I am thinking about going with the "standard issue" KRX and adding what I want...don't much like the half front bumper on the trail edition and would replace it anyway. The other items are easy adds as well.
