This thing is so bright, you could almost weld with it......used EMP mounts..........SUPER impressed with it. makes the stock headlights look like mere candles worth of illumination.

It looks amazing, but I have a few questions. My machine produces14.5Volts when the motor is at speed, so that would be around 40amps pull at 580Watts using P=VI. Did you install the alternator? Did you buy special rocker switches and other hardware as most of the rocker switches I see are 20Amp? I haven't seen any 40Amp switches but haven't specifically searched for that.

Just curious because I was looking at two row, but was worried the power draw would be too much.

P=VI is only for resistive load, not LED. Bar draws under 10 amps
I am not sure I understand the resistive load comment, if you could explain that more I would appreciate it. Did you put the bar on a power supply separate from the machine to measure the 10amp pull?

If you look at that light bar it is 240Watts and pulls 18.2Amps at 12V which is very close to the P=VI ---- 218.4 Watts = 12V * 18.2Amps My guess is the bar is rated for 240Watts but won't fully pull that amount of power.

I will run a test tonight with a small 12 inch light bar and see what I get. I have a power supply and can measure the current pull and not use my machine. I know my R1 3ft light whips pull 5 amps each (10 amps total) when they are white color at 14.5Volts. It surprised me how much current they pulled.

Lol, you caused a run on this light bar. They're out of stock now. 🤣

First time posting, many months stalking. Following the suggestion of this thread, I bought and installed this light a few weeks back. Friday night I took it out to test and the stock headlights flicker on/off when I turn on the 42" light, does it on both low and high beams. Any ideas/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome lurker! I get no flickering at all..........I've measured it at only 8 amps and run it through a switch with no relay. What's your dash gauge voltmeter say?

What's your review of the light?

Lurker definitely sounds better than stalker! I am pretty mechanically inclined, have built quite a few endurance road racing cars. That being said, wiring/electricity is NOT my strength. I purchased the switch and light below from Amazon. I have only used it in a dimly lit parking lot near our shop, not on the trail yet so not much of a review just yet but it was MUCH brighter than the factory lights.
