I'm hoping that when I finally get a KRX, the rocky trails that have been troublesome with my utility SxS will become fun and exciting with the KRX. And the rocky trails I'm referring to are nothing compared to what you're showing here.

The KRX actually make stuff less exciting... They just seem to go over everything with ease and little effort. There were several places in Moab where others really had to work to get over obstacles. The KRX just walked over things like it was nothing.

100% agree. The KRX almost made it too easy in Moab. Actually almost took some of the fun out of Moab. It easily handled a few obstacles that I wouldn't even attempt in my General, or on my ATV. The thrill of the challenge is a big part of what makes Moab fun.

One could still get into plenty of trouble still.. found out the front locker doesn't work when selected unless the low speed switch is on.. complained to dealer so he looked into it and confirmed it..

That's an important thing everyone should remember. Was it difficult to realize that the front locker wasn't working, or did something happen which made it obvious?

Absolutely, I never meant to imply you couldn't still get yourself in trouble. I was just saying the KRX works much better than any other UTV out in Moab.

that's what I thought,
I have used the locker a bit, and have tried the low power switch once. It doesn't always lock in right away. Sometimes I have to drive a little before it locks in, but it has always worked in normal power mode. Really don't need it very often, and it's tough to turn when on a hard, grippy surface.

Moving from a very built Jeep that has tackled Moab and others, I welcome the ease. Much less; shifting, spotting, breaking stuff and a general loss of the 'Pucker Factor 5'. The KRX just makes it fun. Planning a Moab trip for next year.... this time I'll have a chance to enjoy the scenery.

Hmmm, not sure I buy that. Just based on last Saturdays ride, I never went into low power mode but did spin down in a couple spots in 4wd, but when I switched in the locker it went right on over.

agreed was hard to tell.. have been in spots like you say in low range not in low power mode and selected the locker and pulled right out.. but a couple of times the locker light was on but once the one of the front wheels left the ground it spun up the locker was definitely not in and I questioned it.. using the low speed it crawled right up.. I had the dealer check the diff and call tech support who claims that even though the locker light is on at some speeds it may not be in unless the low speed switch is on..just sayin' maybe there's some shaft saver mode in the ecu.. no idea.
Don't shoot the messenger here man!

If low Power is required for the locker it better be DOCUMENTED. Not a phone conversation... Personally I call B.S.

Even higher powered turbo cars dont require low power to engage their locker
I can confirm for the one time I went mud bogging the 4wd lock worked fine in high and low. Did not run with low power switch on. It does take a few moments to engage though.
