Can we work on getting a sticky for service schedules? I know it’s in the manual but if you’re like me I hate dissecting the dots on each line.

120 mile break in service- Engine oil, oil filter, front and rear diff fluid.

600 mile service- Oil and Oil filter.

can someone assist and keep it going? Maybe we can get a moderator to make this a sticky. Thanks guys.

Because the speed can vary so much on these OHV"s most MFG's service intervals go by engine hours or miles which ever comes first.. but generally the hours are first... The break in at 20hr, every the 50hrs a/f then every100hrs after that. Doing your services at or close to the every 50/100hr mark even if the first is a little early makes is easy to keep a mental note...I have always documented what I did on the blank page in the service manual found in the glove box. So you have a record of what was done last at what date. Its a good practice to take the time to give it a good look over every time you wash it or after every use. Take the time to replace or repair the damaged and worn items as soon as you see them and you won't have as many problems on the trail..

Here is the schedule for the krx.

This is fantastic. Thank you. Did you notice on the oil filter it’s replace once a year? Apart from the break in of course.

I was just spotted the oil filter is recommended to torque on with a wrench not hand tighten while trying to check on your amp output post of the stater.. which I found at 37amps @ 12v how ever haven't located system draw.. the rep said 10amps left for accessories but maybe that's with the lights on.. I went ahead and installed the alt kit just to be safe..
on the oil filter mine is getting one every oil change...there must be a reason they want the filters on so tight. check it out!

I’ll be doing my first service tonight and tomorrow. Going with full synthetic 10w40 although you can run different oils based on your weather temperature in your area.
Here’s what I got

120 Mile service
4 quarts 10w40 full synthetic kawi oil
Kawi oil filter
Kawi crush washer ( make sure dealer marks which side up for you)
3 quarts 80w90 front diff and tranny take same oil
2 o rings for fill plugs (must be greased before re-install)

Got the 120 mile service all done. A few tips and findings! This is coming from a newbie, don’t hate me lol

- Mineral oil is super watery be prepared for plenty of splashing. Takes about 30 min to fully drain.
-Engine and trans take the same crush washer on the drain plugs.
  • Front diff is a rubber O ring on the drain plug.
  • Grab a can of lithium grease. You’re gonna need it to lube all the seals.
  • The big fill plug on the trans and front diff is a 1 1/16 Socket. It’s a big mama jama. Replace these seals too.
  • Oil filter. It’s messy. Not really sure around it. I stuffed a bunch of rags underneath and behind it to catch most of the oil drain.
-Torque specs, I tried to follow them. The bolt seems to stop at the torque anyway. Tightened all the way and did an additional 1/4 turn.

All in all not too bad. Spent about 120 bucks on everything and a couple hours. Dealer wanted $400+ so I’m pretty happy with the savings and result.

You're going to make a mess no matter what you do changing the oil filter. As far as torque of the oil filter, I have never done this. These filters will stop when bottomed out them I just give it a good twist. Never had a problem.

Has anyone tried popping a hole in the filter with an awl or screwdriver to drain the filter before loosening it? Maybe cut down on the mess?

Guys, get or make something like this, to stop the oil filter spillage. Works great and saves the oil spilling when removing the filter.

Anyone start the list of all tools and sizes needed to strip down the KRX or know where I find it. No I haven't looked in the manual yet cause its not in reach of this keyboard and its a LONG walk to the garage 😇
