After spending two days winching myself and several others out, i discovered the stock battery was not up to the task. Reserve and charge rate were horrible so i decided to install an Optima, run these in my jeep and they are bullet proof. Hardest part was cutting out the stock tray as it is welded in. So far this set up has been working great.

Does the oddyssey fit right in the oem spot? the oem battery in the KRX is huge compared to my buddie's x3's. They seem to have the normal dinky mc battery. The KRX battery looks 2x and then some bigger.
Krx battery is actually not bad. I had my sound system turned on for about an hour last night and it started right up with no problems.

I had to cut out the stock battery tray and bolted in a new GMI battery box. You could lay it on its side, but i wanted the posts in the stock position. If you intend on using your winch a lot, this is the ticket.

Don’t have it at home to snap a pic but it fits great. It’s shorter and you can use shorter bolts or just cut the tubs for the bolts and use the part you cut for spacers on top. No need to buy anything. I did put new ends on the battery cable to use a bolt.

particular p/n on that battery? Looks like an upgrarde that'll pay many dividends. Being such a heavy duty battery, would this alleviate the need for dual? As mentioned above, the KRX battery is already much bigger than the other SxS's on the market, or Can Am's at least.
