What kind of condition is little coal in nowadays?
Surprisingly good. We probably could have rode it all and then some if we didn't run out of fuel and beer. The old maps are off enough to screw you up trying to get to a specific place but work great if just head out and use them to get back.

Made another trip down this year. We stayed in Iaeger (close to Willmore Dam) at Muddy Trails campground and resort. They have 2 new cabins that our friends stayed in that are very nice. Plan was to hit a lot of outlaw trails in the area ran into a couple gated and one closed due to trees cut down to clear for a new 4 lane from Mullens to Welch. We were hoping for a little more fall colors but maybe when we're back down in two weeks the leaves might still be around.

Stayed in Mullens this time at Cabins on the Guyandotte. We had great weather for our Nov trip, best we have ever had usually its cold and rainy. Rode to Flag Rock on outlaw trails between Pinnacle Creek and Indian Ridge on Thursday. Rode pretty much all of Pinnacle Creek on Friday with lunch at Ole Jose's in Pineville. Then Saturday was a get lost kind of day and figure out how to get back...lol

We stayed in Gilbert Nov 10th-13th. Rode outlaws until about 11pm Thursday in t shirts. Saturday we made back into town around 9:30 pm in a snowstorm. We had 3 KRX's, 3 RZR's, 2 X3's and an RMax4. One RZR went down day 1, that was the only mechanical problems.

Trail upgrades. First stop when I got into. Off the trailer and rode to the tire shop.

Looks like you have a good group. The Gilbert to Kentucky loop is a good 100 mile day. Was the train tunnel by the Tug river low water crossing?

It was a haul in the rain with a high of about 40F. Got back to Gilbert as it started snowing. Thats the west end of the gilbert creek tunnel. Goes under the twin star area. Almost a mile long and active.
