Old guy here. Currently have an '08 Yamaha Rhino. Ran it pretty hard on the mine trails in the Superstitions, now in the several ranges around here. It's totally dependable but it's time to move on. I'm not a Polaris fan or CanAm, Yamaha doesn't have anything I like. But the KRX 1000 has everything I want. Since it's the first year for the model I'm looking at this forum for all the information it has to give. Especially any known concerns.

Welcome to the forum! I liked the Talon but its a bit too common. Interested in Honda?
Honda? Love/hate feeling for the company. Briefly, you can't beat their small engines, lawnmowers, log splitters, etc. Motorcycles are the best. Two Civics crapped at 50k despite top maintenance. Plus, we.took our two Honda ATVs to the Arizona Outlaw Jamboree four times. Not once was Honda America represented, donated nada. Talon looks good on paper. But not on my radar for a number of reasons.
Glad to have you on the forum Cekkk, for the most part people have been really enjoying their KRX's.

But since it's a new model there have been a few issues that have popped up on the forum. You might want to give these threads a look:

The KRX is a bad boy Machine, love mine Serious 4x4 action.
Okay, here's the story. Local one horse town dealer worked out a price and then took a look at my Rhino for trade in value. he called the next day and said that the boss said because they couldn't get financing on it for a buyer, they couldn't take it in. No problem, I drove an hour into the city and visited a dealer there. Lo and behold, I'm walking out with a new talon. Just couldn't take my eyes off of it once I got inside the store.

Picking it up when the accessories come in.

You guys were great. Wish me luck

Be sure to test drive the Honda before you buy it. some dealers won't let you because of the poor ride quality. I test drove a Honda Talon X with 94 miles on it(returned by owner). I rode six miles on the Paiute Trail and it nearly knocked my kidneys out. It rides like a bucking bronco.

Good to have join us. Man that’s exactly what I did, graduated from an 08 Rhino to a KRX. Almost a year now and 0 regrets. Cool thing is I’m getting gray and losing my hair but I get a little younger every time I strap in mine!
