Hey everyone on your door panel on the passenger side if you cut the plastic strap out you can fit a 2.5lb fire extinguisher.

I've heard of folks doing that, but I think I prefer mine to be secured in place, just in case of a roll over. Wouldn't want that flying around in the cab.

I totally get that. We carry 2 just in case the unknown happens. As far as it coming out it would take a vary fast roll over like a kart wheel style. I think for a lot of krx owners it is perfect for cruising around and crawling but out at full speed everything needs to be tied down. Do you like the quick pull mounts better.

Was looking at that damn strap just a couple of hours ago and decided to do the same thing. A small bungee will keep it secure in the event of a roll over.
I took a Dremel and cut mine out too. I had to shave down the lip on the door to get it to fit all the way down. Be careful as the plastic is super thin I accidentally broke through the plastic. Tiny pinhole but barely can notice on the other side

What size is that and where did you find it?
I have a Kidde 2 lb and it's the same diameter as the 2.5 lb one. What's the model number? Mine has a gauge on it and a metal nozzle, that one looks like it's all plastic without a gauge.

Including the mid bracket? Mine is also a 2” and I had to trim out.
Here's how mine looked after the resection...
I cut in straight about a 1/8" in on the top and bottom of that strap then cut straight across the notches up through the strap. Never even came close to cutting through the door this way.

Yep same here. I just went a little too far with the dremel.

Aufer mount, Amazon $25.
Got it under tubing due to rolling issues!
Like anything mechanical, ya need to remove it now & then to clean & dry-lube surfaces.
Before tightening clamps be sure ya can release extinguisher in that position. 11" LOA.
Shrink wrap on clamps attached to tubes.
Few inches of duct tape for a tab over discharge port to keep mud out.
White because it complies for use on boat.
Anyone riding with us gets a quick demo on accessing it.
Door rack usually holds laminated maps.

That's where mine is, and for all the same reasons. Tusk brand. One of their stainless steel clamp shit the bed so there's a big wire tie holding the can to the mount. Been like that for thousands of miles. I do remove it from time to time to be sure it works. Very easy in and out in this location.

After I added the spare tire rack I had to change the position slightly. I don't suppose it would be a bad idea to mount another one on the other side as well. One of these bottles doesn't last long once you pull the trigger.
