Factor stereo already broke

I installed the factory stereo and really like it but the plastic where the screen mounts to the dash has already snapped at 3 of the 4 spots it attaches to. Not really sure why, didn’t get hit or bumped in any way. Looks like it’s just a poor design and will be prone to breaking. I drilled to holes and mounted it with two bolts with nuts and washers. Super solid now but if you bought a stereo I’d keep an eye on these mounts. Might be I got a bad one but again from what I can tell it’s not a super solid design.

I was really wanting to go with the factory unit but couldn’t justify the price. I just put together a sound system with a pioneer head unit, 2 6.5’s for the doors 2 6x9s for the rear and 2 10” subs behind the seats and an amp. Total cost $400. Factory system would have been 1099 plus 399 for the additional speakers.
