Any one have your engine brake release going down a steep grade? Crawling down steep grade using mostly engine brake, It released and free wheeled, scared the #$%^ out of me. Had to jump on the brakes to stop. Any idea why it would release?

The one way bearing maybe going out. They had some problems with the early 2020 models, but Kawasaki will replace it if needed.

When it happens Does it sound like your rear end gears have decided to not get along until you come to a stop? If so like others have said defective one way bearing or you might be one of lucky ones who's shifter cable was not keeping trans in correct detent location and just needs adjusting. I had to take a video of the issue to dealer to show Kawasaki and say fix this. Add me to the list of waiting on parts. Other than that one awesome machine. Kawasaki was slow on authorizing the repairs due to shop being unable to duplicate and possibly since mine is a early build 2021 most likely. Don't think mine got the updated bearing when built.

Yes. Mine made the same noise. You would think it was the high gear in the trans but Kawasaki authorized the upgraded 2021 parts in the clutch housing. The problem is the sprague bearing which gives us grade breaking.

Yes it does, I saw a video somewhere on how to adjust, has any one seen this video or has been on tube?

I adjusted mine like I. The video .. I was still able to pull back and end shift bar and get some movement. I then ordered the stronger detent spring and after replacing I o longer have any extra movement in the lever.. seems to be working for me.
How many times did yours jump out of gear before you replaced the detent spring? Also, where did you buy the new stronger detent spring?
