When running on trail about 10 to 15 MPH. It fells like one cylinder is cutting out or turning off. No extra noise or back fire. This happens periodically and only for A few seconds. It seems to get more frequent. I wonder if it is going to quit all together. If somebody can tell me what to do, I would appreciate it

I experienced this once, going probably less than 10mph in high range. Felt like it stumbled or bogged down, i thought it may be the gas I had put in it. Since we were on a rough trail and creeping along slow, I put it in low range and never had the issue again. Mine has had the rollover valve mod since day one, but is still on the original plugs and yes I always let it warm up to at least 150 degrees before I kill it even when just moving it around. I haven't had the issue again, at least that I've noticed anyway.
This issue has come up several times in forums and facebook groups and I'd love to find out what the problem is. Things like this bug the hell out of me.

I have the same issue. I replaced the spark plugs but it didn't help. I read in this forum that some think it is the aftermarket rollover valve (which I have had since the start). It has never stalled on me, so I'll just live with it and wait to see if the cause can definitely be determined.

I had similar issues. The pv3 fixed all that.
So no issues after a "tune" ? I haven't paid close enough attention to others who have this issue if they had a tune or not.
I can see how having a tune could help since the timing would be advanced and I would assume more fuel as well. The stock tune is pretty much neutering the machine.

Yea I was gonna change the plugs, but decided to wait until I tried the tune. And the dynojet pv3 took care of that bog, or delayed throttle response. I also have the roll over valve installed. The pv3 put my krx where it needed to be.

Somehow I got a Cali model. But with the pv3 I can smell the exhaust emissions now. Like what was always a normal thing on other engines. And the pv3 kicks the cooling fan on at 4 degrees cooler now. So it seem to run cooler in the cab. I’ve only added the pv3 and the RCOR clutch weights. And I love the way my krx runs now. I’ve put over 200 miles on since adding the pv3, and it seems to run better now than it did when I first did the flash. I run 93 octane gas in it. They recommend at least 91. Oh I added a Gboost belt right before the flash. I can’t think of a reason to have another tuner than the pv3.

I'm in Arkansas and I ended up with a Cali model too. I haven't gotten a tune yet but I'm running an EVO slip on, did the gas tank vent, RCOR weights came in the mail today. I'm curious if all that Cali emissions crap in the back of the console could cause any issue's down the road from a running lean issue to maybe a slight decrease in performance? Back in the day the first thing you did was remove all the BS smog crap from whatever car or truck you had. Usually ended up with a box full of smog pumps and vacuum lines! I don't know of anyone that's removed any of that stuff on a KRX.

I do know that dynojet has a tune for the Cali model a d the 49 state krx model. When you plug in the pv3, it detects which model your ecm is, and loads the proper tune. So they’ve figured it out already. And dynojet is a real outfit. Not some guy in his basement mailing off tunes. All the Cali stuff does, as far as I know, vents the gas fumes into the engine to burn off. To save the environment. I could be wrong though. But it definitely runs lean from the factory. And I don’t like that to much.

I believe you're correct in that it vents the gas fumes back in the engine. From what I've seen in the service manual , the Cali emissions consists of an evap canister some valves and a bunch of vacuum lines. It's all inside the back of the center console. I'd like to know what they do differently in the tunes for the 2 different models? By your name, I assume you're in Alabama, how did we end up with Cali models? I don't want anything to do with anything associated with California! Lol!!

12 days is insane. I’ll tell you what, when you get it you will be thrilled. I can’t wait to hear your take on the pv3.
Yeah ...ordered it from rocky mountain. I have trying to get a hold of them to see if they can do anything...no answer on phones or email. If it works as good as the tuners on Harleys I will be happy as pigs in shit!

I think they make enough Cali models to make sure they fill the demand in that shithole, and send any machine to the other states. I know the only difference I found was out Cali models weigh like 2 pounds more. I noticed when I changed the oil and filter 2 weeks ago, there was a strong smell of gas in the oil. I sure hope that is the way the Cali model should be. I don’t want piston issues already. Do you recall a smell of gas in your oil?

It sounds crazy, but Saturday night I was riding and had about 200 miles since I installed the pv3, and my krx was running like I’ve never felt it. It may be the ecm learning, but I’m happy as hell with the pv3.

No gasoline smell in my oil so far, but I've only done the fluid change after the break in miles so far. Oil filter was ridiculously tight though!

Mine has done the same thing, basically a stumble.

I have also done the roll over valve.

Mine is a CA model.

I just ordered a PV3 today. Can't wait to get it.
