Check 2-2: Parking Brake Indication Inspection
• Turn the ignition switch on.
• The parking brake indicator light (LED) [A] goes on when

the parking brake lever is applying. (
* If the display function does not work, check the following
parts.
Parking Brake Switch (see Switch lnspection(17-64)) Wiring (see Meter Unit Circuit(17-62))

• If above parts are good, inspect the ECU (see ECU Power Supply lnspection(3-109)).
• If the ECU is good, replace the meter unit.

Check 2-3: 2WD/4WD/D1FF-LOCK Indication Inspection
• Turn the ignitioCl switch on.
• The 2WD indicator [A] ("2WD" and 2 tires) appears when
the 2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK shift switch is in "2WD."
• The 4WD indicator ("4WD" and 4 tires) appears when
the 2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK shift switch is in "4WD."
• The 4WD indicator and DIFF-LOCK indicator [C] ap- pears when the 2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK shift switch is in
"LOCK."
* If the display function does not work, check the following parts.
2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK Shift Switch (see Switch lnspec- tion(17-64))
2WD/4WD/DIFF-LOCK Actuator (see 2WD/4WD/DIFF -LOCK Actuator lnspection(3-97))
Wiring (see Meter Unit Circuit(17-62))
* If above parts are good, inspect the ECU (see ECU Power
Supply lnspection(3-109)).
* I f the ECU is good, replace the meter unit.
