So my dealer seems to think my belt needs to get changed based the symptom I gave to him and listed lower in the thread list. (KRX shifting). I have a spare belt. What I can't find is if the new belt needs to be broken in. And if so, what is the procedure? I didn't see anything mentioned in the book.
I always gently warm up a new belt and give varied speeds for the first 20 or so miles with no more than 1/2 throttle. Has always worked for me and get fantastic belt life.
wouldn't think it's the belt. This kawa set up, even with abuse would lend itself to other issues before belt...then again, you may be lucky. See the girls belt change, she kills it and knows her shit.. easy peasey.
