Thats a really good turn around it seems. Another member on here had a cousin, I think it was, that had an engine blow on a new machine. It was less than 15 hours if recall. But his was in the shop over 2 months I think. Did they tell you what the defect was that caused the failure? Hopefully you have no further issues with it.
I had an engine blow on my vacation to an atv park, 186 miles, blew out a head gasket, overheated temp gauge never read more than 176 degrees f driving engine bogged down and stalled couldn’t restart, no warning signs check engine light appeared after it stalled and no coolant smell or pressure release while driving
This seems this has happened to more than a few engines... hard to count because the reports are scattered.. I can't imagine Kawasaki taking this in stride! The dealers are notorious for pencil whipping the PDI.. The steering and alignment is usually out on just about everyone of them!

I pitched a big fit about the alignment when I picked up my machine a month or so ago.

I did a quick walk around and was like "oh hey, looks like the toe's out on the passenger front. Can you guys do an alignment real quick?"

The a$$hole sales guy who supposedly did the PDI was like "oh no, that's the camber, talk to the service guys blah blah blah". The dude completely told me to stick it.

I went back to the service department, asked for the manager, gave a brief explanation of camber/caster/toe/square and told him the toe's out and it needs to be fixed NOW. The service guys all looked at one another and were like "oh, * (a-hole sales guy) must have done that one, grumble grumble..."

Service manager was cool and had a dude grab it and swing it around back. Pulled it back out front and lo and behold, toe appeared normal (I measured later they were in spec). So good on them and we're cool.

Honestly, I can't believe they're leaving the PDI to sales people who can't even tell if one tires toed out 45 degrees to the other.

Side note: the sales guy has been bad enough that I just refuse to talk with him. That guy has blown me off several times. This will be the first time that I fill out one of those post-purchase surveys.

Hi , is it KRX 1000?
Mine blew the top end at 200 miles, took four month to get enough parts to build a new engine, they would not send my dealer an engine, they made them build an entirely new one. That wasn't cheap and took forever. They also offered me nothing in return for my down time. Not a dedicated Kawi fan right now, I still have it but rarely use it as I have no confidence in it.

I’m saying having confidence in the car. Kawasakis “remedy” to my noise issue was to blow it up and make it fail.
